Bob Miller Bio

I lived in Minnesota my whole life, mostly around the St. Cloud area (which is the setting for The Smart Kid).

Graduated St. Cloud State Univ with a degree in Psychology.

On staff with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship for seven years, until 1991. And that is what brought me to Rochester, MN, where I live with Lorna, and children.

From 1991 to 2011, performing magic shows was my main income source. Related jobs were creating and selling magic tricks, books and CDs. Creating and selling memory-training CDs. Creating and selling a database program for performers.

From 2011 to now, did a variety of jobs finally focusing on computer programming in 2015, specifically Filemaker database development.

In 2013, I wrote my first novel, The Smart Kid.
In 2015, published The Time Leaper.
In 2019, published The Proxy Agent.

During this time, around 2016, I developed the Outlining Your Novel computer program, along with the author of that workbook, K.M. Weiland. It is a digital version of her very useful novel planning workbook.

As of this updated writing (2020) we’re getting ready to release the web-based version of her software at
