I’m happy to report that on this third day of NaNoWriMo my stats look very respectable. I’ve written over 12,000 words, so far. I’m way ahead of the required average pace. According to the stats, if I keep up this pace, I’ll reach my 50,000 word goal by Nov. 13th.
I don’t expect to keep up this pace. But here is one reason that I’m able to write so much:
REASON #1: I spent a lot of time outlining. I used some variations of Freytags Pyramid to write out a medium detailed outline of the plot.
I know that as I write, I’ll put in some things that aren’t in the outline, and I may exclude some things that I had planned. But so far, it’s smooth sailing.
